RPGamer Round-Up: October 23 – October 30

Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn brings the classic tactical RPG to modern platforms with plenty of appeal for veterans and newcomers alike. Sam Wachter got an early look at the game and shares her experience so far.

Since their inception, magic has played a key role in many RPGs, bringing with it many powerful and notable practitioners. The RPGamer staff picked out some of their favourites to form our own Magic Circle.


Major News

Square Enix released more details for Tactics Ogre: Reborn. The latest info covers more gameplay elements as well as showing more classes and characters, while a “final” trailer highlights its premise and voice acting.

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has a release date. The action RPG will release worldwide in early March.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is now available on PC and consoles. As part of the launch preparations, Square Enix released the game’s final Mission Report video, as well as a couple of additional character trailers.

Nippon Ichi Software released new details and media for Disgaea 7. The update primarily covers the game’s premise and main characters, also revealing more monster classes.

Granzella has officially unveiled its remakes of the R-Type Tactics games. R-Type Tactics I • II Cosmos will launch worldwide on PC and consoles in summer.

CD Projekt RED officially announced one of its previously-revealed projects. Developer Fool’s Theory is working on a full remake of the first game in the Witcher series.

Owlcat Games is working on more DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. The three additional DLC are available to pre-order now for PC as a second Season Pass bundle.
