RPGamer Round-Up: October 6 – October 13

Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

 


Editorial Content

Ahead of the game’s release this week, Atlus provided a hefty demo for Metaphor: ReFantazio. Mohamed Lamine Coulibaly finds it proves to be some hours of delight that are very promising for the full release.

Beastieball offers a fascinating combination of creature-collecting RPG and volleyball. RPGamer’s Alex Fuller was able to check out the game’s first few hours in a new preview build.

Major News

EA and BioWare released more details for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The update covers the game’s difficulty and accessibility options ahead of its launch later this month.

Fulqrum Publishing and Far Far Games revealed Bylina. The game is an action RPG inspired by Slavic folklore and is set to release for PC and consoles next year.

Newly-formed developer Longdue revealed that is working on a spiritual successor to narrative RPG Disco Elysium. The studio includes veterans who worked on Disco Elysium as well as at Bungie, Rockstar, and Brave At Night.

Chonky Loaf and indie.io announced that Everholm will launch next month. The cozy, minimalist RPG will be available for PC via Steam.

DESTINYbit announced its upcoming game Nitro Gen Omega. The title is a sandbox tactical RPG set in a bleak future where players control mechs in a war against machines.

The Kickstarter campaign for Jordan Weisman’s latest project, Sea of Legends, has begun. The deckbuilding open-world cRPG is being built using the Adventure Forge platform.
