Dustgrave Demo Releasing This Week

Publisher Digital Tribe and developer Innervoid Interactive announced a demo their sandbox RPG Dustgrave. The demo will be available on October 10, 2024, for PC via Steam. It lets players play through the prologue of the full game, with the save data carrying over to the full release. In the prologue, which is said to feature all the mechanics present in the full game, the maximum level of players’ characters will be limited to 10. In addition, players won’t be able to join any factions in the demo, though will be able to fulfill missions for them.

Dustgrave is set around the fall of the Dahlan Empire as it suffers from a plague, internal unrest, and invasions. Players are given the freedom to act as they wish, with record and relationship tracking systems allowing NPCs to react accordingly and the story to progress differently depending on the player’s choices and actions. Dustgrave is planned to release on Steam Early Access later this year.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
