8-Bit Adventures 2 Console Demo Available

Ahead of the game’s release on consoles next week, developer Critical Games released a new demo for retro-styled turn-based RPG 8-Bit Adventures 2. The demo is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 demo expected to release within the next few days. The game is set to release for all listed consoles on October 16, 2024, having originally released for PC in early 2023.

8-Bit Adventures 2 is inspired by Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and PlayStation-era JRPGs. The game blends sci-fi and fantasy elements as players try to save the world from an entity known as the Glitch, with seven playable characters and a turn-based combat system. While it is a follow-up to 8-Bit Adventures: The Forgotten Journey, players do not need to have played the previous game. A playthrough is intended to last around 30-40 hours.
