Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.
Editorial Content
A decade-old entry in the Rune Factory series receives a port to modern systems. Matt Masem finds that a little bit of spit and polish help an already excellent title shine a bit brighter.
Utawarerumono series spin-off Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten arrived on consoles in the west. Luis Mauricio reports that the turn-based RPG is enjoyable and doesn’t do anything wrong, but also doesn’t make itself particularly memorable.
Is Rhapsody III a beautiful gem? Sam Wachter reviews the second title in the Marl Kingdom Chronicles collection, and wishes she had a beer or two to get over the experience.
The latest title in MAGES Inc.’s Science Adventure series arrives in the west. Anonymous;Code may not quite crack the juggernaut of Steins;Gate, but its combination of science and conspiracy provides a highly engaging near-future sci-fi tale.
WrestleQuest’s blend of turn-based RPG, toy box world, and professional wrestling gives it cause to attract interest. Unfortunately, its execution doesn’t really live up to the hype.
PAX West Impressions
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name looks to continue the long, storied tradition of renowned titles from Ryu ga Gotoku Studio. Franchise first-timer Ryan Costa was enraptured by the style and comedy in its PAX West demo.
Dragon Quest dives fully into the action RPG space with Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai. RPGamer’s Ryan Costa was able to take a look at how the game is shaping up at PAX West.
Lords of the Fallen’s reboot brings a few new mechanics to update the game for modern audiences. Ryan Costa was able to see these new options are shaping up in the latest demo at PAX West.
For The King II looks to encapsulate tabletop gaming in a four player co-op turn-based roguelite. RPGamer’s Ryan Costa was able to check how its coming along with a look at its PAX West offering.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a mobile game that encompasses all Compilation of Final Fantasy VII in a handy mobile title. RPGamer’s Sarah McGarr provided some brief thoughts from her time with its PAX West demo.
Dungeon diving in the Austrian Alps is an interesting concept. RPGamer’s Ryan Costa was able to explore some of the cel-shaded world of Dungeons of Hinterberg at PAX West.
The World of Kungfu: Dragon and Eagle still has a year of Early Access ahead of it. Ryan Costa notes nuance of the kung fu novels that it takes inspiration from makes the tactical turn-based RPG worth keeping an eye on.

Square Enix revealed that both a PC version and paid DLC is in development for Final Fantasy XVI. The company also released a free new costume-focused update for the game.
Fulqrum Publishing and Dreamate Games unveiled New Arc Line. The turn-based fantasy steampunk RPG is planned to launch on PC and consoles next year.
Over two years after the change of developer was announced, Paradox Interactive revealed The Chinese Room is leading work on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The vampiric action RPG is now planned to launch in fall 2024.
Indie developer Peacebreak Studio unveiled its debut title. Beaten Path is a tactical RPG for PC following an elderly mage and her student.
Developer False Prophet unveiled Beast. The turn-based tactical RPG is set in grimdark medieval world and sees a veteran trying to handle his inner demons.
NEOWIZ released new videos for Lies of P. Seven-minutes of footage show Pinocchio fighting his way through the Lorenzini Arcade, before a new trailer showcases the wields he can wield.
Square Enix released new information for the upcoming Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. It covers the game’s combat and monster recruiting options.
