RPGamer Round-Up: October 22 – October 29

Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

Bethesda embarks on an expedition to the final frontier in its newest RPG, Starfield. After taking the necessary time to get the full picture, Zack Webster concludes that the immense scale of space may have finally pushed its style beyond its limits.

Detective Pikachu returns with another set of mysteries on Nintendo Switch. Alex Fuller finds that while the game offers a decent conclusion to Tim and Pikachu’s adventures, experienced players will likely find its cases somewhat lacking.

WildArts and Dear Villagers revealed a December release date for Born of Bread. The adventure RPG will rise on PC and consoles.

The release date for Spirittea from Cheesemaster Games has been announced. Players can get their hands on this Spirited Away-inspired management RPG soon.

Square Enix released Star Ocean: The Second Story R’s launch trailer ahead of the game’s release next week. It also detailed the game’s New Game+ mode.

Wizardry: The Five Ordeals has exited Early Access on Steam. The dungeon-crawlers full release update includes a new default scenario.

Death of a Wish, a new action RPG set inside a nightmare, is coming to Steam in 2024. A demo will be available for players to try out later this week.
