Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Anonymous;Code is a new entry in MAGES Inc.’s Science Adventure visual novel series. The game is set in 2037 and follows hacker Pollon Takaoka as he becomes involved in a conspiracy centred around the Vatican and a prophecised end of the world.

Baldur’s Gate III features turn-based combat based on the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. It takes place over 120 years after the events of Baldur’s Gate II and its story begins with the customisable player character and some others captured and forced to host a Mindflayer tadpole before the airship they are on crashes. An Xbox Series X|S release is also planned but has not been dated.

Tactical RPG Crimson Tactics: The Rise of the White Banner begins in the largely peaceful medieval fantasy kingdom of Wendalle, which breaks out into civil war following a siege and the subsequent mistrust as its dukedoms compete for the throne. The game follows a small group of rebels in the dukedom of Swozalta fighting against the rule of the cruel and cunning Duke Arsenio Duran.

Party board game and RPG hybrid Dokapon Kingdom: Connect is a remaster of the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii title Dokapon Kingdom. It is set in a kingdom where monsters suddenly appear and attack towns. The king recruits warriors to rescue the towns in order to restore peace and, most importantly, tax revenue. The game includes includes three main modes: Normal, where players fight to have the most money after a certain period of time; Story, where players attempt to clear various challenges across the kingdom; and Battle Royale, three different race-style modes.

Farming sim Fae Farm takes players to the enchanted island of Azoria. Players build and expand their homestead, explore the island, and gather resources as they seek to restore harmony. It features online co-op multiplayer, as well as local multiplayer on Nintendo Switch. The game’s “Cozy System” gives players daily buffs for having specialised furniture and decor.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a single-player, chapter-based title. It covers key events from titles including the original Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, as well as new content, including events focusing on a younger Sephiroth and that surround Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.
King’s Bounty II

King’s Bounty II takes place in the kingdom of Nostria and combines open-world exploration with turn-based tactical combat. The kingdom is under threat with the king being poisoned and his son Prince Adrian is left in charge while a Blight spreads across the land. Players choose one of three playable characters — Aivar, Katharine, or Elisa — and undertake quests to help restore order and peace to Nostria.
Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten acts as a prequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, and tells the story of major character Oshtor. At the time of the game, Oshtor is living with his mother and sister in a province of the Yamato Empire and investigates a matter for the local lord, during which he comes across a girl named Shunya. The game features a turn-based battle system as opposed to the rest of the series’ grid-based tactical combat. Rune Factory 3 Special is part of the action RPG spin-off series to the Bokujō Monogatari/Story of Seasons farming sim franchise. It puts players in the role of Micah, a young man who can transform into a golden sheep-like monster known as a wooly. Micah awakens in the town of Sharance, where he must restore the peace between people and monsters. The Special version adds HD graphics and redesigned 3D character models, as well as additional “Newlywed Mode” adventures and a new “Hell” difficulty option. Sci-fi action RPG Starfield is set in the 24th century and sees players exploring the Settled Systems, a region of space expanding around 50 light years from the Solar System. Players control their own created character as they join Constellation, a group seeking rare artifacts around the galaxy to unlock some of its final mysteries. Players explore numerous planets and cities while upgrading and customising their own spaceship.
The Dragoness: Command of the Flame

Strategy title The Dragoness: Command of the Flame is heavily inspired by Heroes of Might & Magic. The game sees players commanding a force on the Drairthir Peninsula at the behest of the eponymous Dragoness. Players rebuild the kingdom’s ruined capital city of Níwenborh while recruiting an army of beasts and completing quests across numerous maps.
