River City Girls 2 Trailer Introduces Marian
WayForward Technologies released a new trailer for upcoming brawler River City Girls 2. The video focuses on Marian, who originally appeared as a shopkeeper in River City Girls but is a playable character in the sequel.
Marian has gotten considerably stronger since her appearances in the Double Dragon series, taking up boxing and wrestling. While she specialises in grappling, she is still fast enough to act as a versatile fighter who can readily take on multiple enemies at once. Her Party Crasher Move lets her launch into a crowd of enemies from above, and can also grapple two enemies when they are both sides of her.
River City Girls 2 is a a spin-off to the Kunio-kun brawler series. It will feature six playable characters — with Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki joined by newcomers Marian and Provie — as well as two-player online co-op. River City Girls 2 will also add new items, weapons, moves, shops, and hazards, plus a day-night cycle, quest tracking, three difficulty settings, and dialogue that changes depending on the player-controlled characters. The game is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
