RPGamer Round-Up: June 8 – June 15

Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the intervening period. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

Do you like bugs? How about meeting other bug-crazy kiddos? Sam Wachter reports that Kabuto Park is a short, addictive little game that will have you scouting for all the bugs before bedtime.

Pahdo Labs’s Starlight Re:Volver is an online co-op action title drawing inspiration from 1990s and 2000s anime. Ahead of its Steam Next Fest demo, RPGamer had the chance to check out a preview build for the game.


Major News

Obsidian Entertainment announced that The Outer Worlds 2 will release in October. The reveal came with a new gameplay trailer and Direct showcase revealing more details about the game.

Developer Game Freak is partnering with new publisher Fictions on Beast of Reincarnation. The action adventure RPG is set to release next year.

Failbetter Games is stepping away from Fallen London for its latest title. Mandrake is a rural life sim where players are a sorcerer practicing the forbidden art of horticulture.

 

 

Western publisher GungHo Online Entertainment revealed two special physical editions for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Meanwhile, developer Nihon Falcom released plenty of new details and media.

Atlus is following up its remake of Persona 3 with a remake of Persona 4. So far all we have for Persona 4 Revival is a 30-second teaser and a list of platforms.

Aniimo is a free-to-play creature-collecting action RPG from newly-established publishing label Kingsglory and developer Pawprint Studio. The game will release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and mobile next year.

Koei Tecmo and Gust announced a September release date for Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian. The companies also provided some more details about the single-player offline RPG.

Aspyr has announced an Enhanced Edition of Obsidian Entertainment’s Neverwinter Nights 2. The Enhanced Edition will launch for PC and consoles next month, including all of its DLC.

Square Enix revealed two more Final Fantasy games are heading to Xbox Series X|S. Final Fantasy XVI is out today, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade following in winter.
