Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian Launching in September

Koei Tecmo and Gust announced that Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian will release worldwide on September 26, 2025. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with Japan also receiving a PlayStation 4 version. Those who pre-order the game or purchase it within two weeks of launch physically or digitally will receive the in-game “Activewear Adventuring Set” and “Adventuring Charm Set”.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian is set in the same universe as free-to-play mobile and PC title Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Polar Night Liberator, but will be completely offline and feature its own original story. The game features two main protagonists: Rias Eidreise, an adventurer with a talent for alchemy, and Slade Clauslyter, a young man able to open paths to alternate dimensions. The pair work together to investigate the disappearance of the residents of Hallfein as well as restore their hometown. Their adventure will see them gain help from familiar faces across the Atelier series, with confirmed characters including Sophie Neuenmuller, Razeluxe Meitzen, Totori Helmold, and Wilbell Voll-Ersleid.

The game is set on the continent of Lantarna, where players can explore and gather ingredients. Players will also be able to visit multi-level dungeons called “Dimensional Paths”. These change structure each time they are visited, with different ingredients and enemies available depending on the difficulty level selected. Combat uses timeline command battles using a party of six characters, three in the front line and three in the back. Players are able to use action points and items to influence the turn order and utilise unite attacks.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian‘s synthesis system sees players connecting the “Gift Colors” of the ingredients together to create new items. Traits can be applied or recipes changed depending on the ingredients used, with certain characters able to assist and further strengthen the item created. In addition, players will be able to sell items in Rias’ shop. The money earned can be put towards developing Hallfein, which unlocks new recipes and main story progression.
