The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Gets More Trailers; Bose Character and Location Details

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter received further media and details. Firstly, following the announcement of western special editions for the game, publisher GungHo Online Entertainment released an English version of the character trailer for protagonist Estelle Bright. Meanwhile, developer Nihon Falcom revealed plenty of character and locations details for the city of Bose that players will visit in the game, as well as a Japanese character trailer for other main protagonist, Estelle’s adopted sibling Joshua Bright, plus an additional “regional” trailer for Estelle’s home town of Rolent and another for Bose.

Bose is the second largest city of the kingdom of Liberl and is found in its northernmost region. Estelle and Joshua visit it as part of their tour of the kingdom required to become full-fledged Bracers, a group that acts to protect the safety of the world citizens. The city is known as a commercial hub, with a large indoor market that draws lots of business and sightseers. Other locations in and around the city include the fruit-producing mountain village of Ravennue; the lakeside beauty spot Valleria Shore, which hosts the popular Kingfisher Inn; and Haken Gate, the connecting point to the neighbouring Empire of Erebonia.

Players will encounter a variety of characters in Bose. Colonel Alan Richard is a promising officer in Liberl’s army, who founded and leads its Intelligence Division. He is very popular and supports collaboration with the Bracer Guild. Kanone Amalthea is a calm and calculating adjutant to Colonel Richard, who is deeply loyal to him. General Morgan is a top-ranking army official, though has retired from active duty. He is largely hostile to the Bracer Guild for unknown reasons.

Mayor Maybelle is the young mayor of Bose, who inherited the support her father had built up after he passed away. She is sometimes lazy but is otherwise attentive and generous, which has allowed her to maintain support from the people. Lila is Maybelle’s maid and, despite sometimes voicing her complaints, she resolutely defends and supports the mayor. Anelace Elfead is a senior Bracer from Bose who has just been appointed to the role. She is the granddaughter of Eight Leaves One Blade sword style founder Yun Ka-fai, though is not one of his direct disciples. Finally, Grant is another senior Bracer at the Bose branch. He is liked for being friendly and kind, but will charge into battle when called upon.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is the first game in the series taking place on the continent of Zemuria. The game will release worldwide on September 19, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Those wishing to read more about the series can check out RPGamer’s Where to Start? guide.
