Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition Coming to PC, Consoles in July

Publisher and developer Aspyr announced Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition, a remaster of Obsidian Entertainment’s Neverwinter Nights 2. The Enhanced Edition will release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on July 15, 2025. The game is available to pre-order now, priced at $29.99 with a 10% pre-order discount. It will include all of the game’s DLC, Steam Workshop support, and new gamepad controls. A bundle containing both the Enhanced Editions of both Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 will also be available.

Neverwinter Nights 2 originally released for PC in 2008 and is a follow-up to BioWare’s Neverwinter Nights, which received its Enhanced Edition in 2018, though the stories are largely unconnected. The game uses an adaptation of the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Edition ruleset and is set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting around the city of Neverwinter. It sees players start out as an orphan living in the village of West Harbor. After the village is invaded, players are told by their foster father to bring a mysterious silver shard to Neverwinter. The game received three expansion packs: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate.
