Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition Trailer Teases Expansion Content

Publisher and developer Aspyr released a new trailer for Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition, its upcoming remaster of Obsidian Entertainment’s Neverwinter Nights 2. The 30-second video teases the inclusion of the game’s three expansion packs — Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate — within the release.

Neverwinter Nights 2 originally released for PC in 2008 and is a follow-up to BioWare’s Neverwinter Nights, which received its Enhanced Edition in 2018, though the stories are largely unconnected. The game uses an adaptation of the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Edition ruleset and is set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting around the city of Neverwinter. It sees players start out as an orphan living in the village of West Harbor. After the village is invaded, players are told by their foster father to bring a mysterious silver shard to Neverwinter. The Enhanced Edition will release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on July 15, 2025.
