Midgar Studio’s ambitious project Edge of Eternity looks great on the surface, but a closer look shows the seams of this unrefined 90s-inspired JRPG.

Publisher NACON has picked up another French studio. Edge of Eternity developer Midgar Studio is the latest one to be snapped up.
Edge of Eternity makes its console debut next week. Dear Villagers and Midgar Studio puts out a new gameplay walkthrough video, which includes its new Japanese voice overs.
Dear Villagers and Midgar Studio’s Edge of Eternity is getting a physical release in Europe. Physical PS4 and PS5 copies will be available the same date as its digital console release.
Edge of Eternity is making its console debut in February. The game will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles first, with a cloud-based Switch version following shortly after.
A free update is available for Dear Villagers and Midgar Studio’s Edge of Eternity on PC. The update comes with a new trailer that includes the first console footage of the game.

Midgar Studio and Playdius’ Edge of Eternity is now available on Steam Early Access. The Early Access version initially lets players access the game’s first chapter, with its next big update planned for February.
Edge of Eternity’s Early Access version is no longer set for the end of November. Instead, it will be available at the start of December, which is a fairly small delay but delay nonetheless.
