Edge of Eternity Adds Prologue Chapter to Early Access

Developer Midgar Studio and publisher Dear Villagers released the latest update to the Steam Early Access version of Edge of Eternity. The update adds a prologue chapter to the game, titled Chapter 0: The Seeds of Destruction. The prologue lasts around two hours and includes new cutscenes, music, and a tutorial. The update also adds random battle encounters and multiple difficulty levels to the game.

Edge of Eternity looks to combine turn-based and tactical combat, using an ATB-based combat system as well as a combat grid and environmental interactions. The game is set on the planet Heryon, which is plunged into a war between its inhabitants and invaders from space. Edge of Eternity is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game’s Early Access version initially launched in December 2018, with its full release currently planned for sometime in 2020.
