The Shin Megami Tensei series has come a long way from being straight first person dungeon crawlers. Join RPGamer as we help you figure out Where to Start with this long-running series.
Chris embraces our cyberpunk subscription overlords. Josh kills the innkeeper (accidentally). Meanwhile Robert plunges down the .Hack hole.
It’s a quiet news week before the big push of releases before the holiday gaming rush. Chris invites hate mail for his crazy views on Final Fantasy VII and Mario 64. Kelley discovers her friendship isn’t worth an iPad. And Anna Marie wants easy modes to actually be easy. Is that too much to ask? Wait…it IS a bunny!
It’s the RPGCast trio bringing you another week of mild insanity. Kelley struggles because Japanese names are hard. Chris wants to take all the cats camping, but Anna Marie swiftly vetoes the idea. The dad jokes arrive in full force, and everyone’s thinking about vacations.
Josh and Scotty get into a father-son slap fight. Kelley ascends to divinity playing Picross. Johnathan sees how much his ZHP is worth and has to go make a transaction in a back alley. And Chris tries to justify life without a back button.
Chris says the quiet things out loud, and challenges Anna Marie to play a gacha game without spending money. Kelley gets distracted by a three-headed monkey, while Josh ponders why the ten rings sounds like Jarvis.
The podcast trio is not at all ready for the flood of September releases. Anna Marie is kind of sick of the trigger, Chris insists Eclipse is owed an apology, and Kelley wants to know what is this garbage and how she can get more of it.
What’s the podcast trio been up to this week? Chris is now a punchy demi-fiend, Kelley muses if Scamper is part plumber, and Anna Marie campaigns on Hades for everyone. Also, stoats continue to be extremely cute.
It’s a tiny cast with just Chris, Anna Marie, and Kelley. PS5 blood money is being thrown around, while Kelley curses the asthma tax. Chris is simulating his real life job in a game that simulates his job. Anna Marie re-discovers she doesn’t like SMT. And everyone agrees cutscenes need both pause and skip options.
Alex, Anna Marie, Chris, and Kelley come together to discuss the news of the week. #JRPGJuly is well underway for everyone on the cast. Anna Marie makes every evil choice she can. Alex dives into Anime: The Game. Chris shouldn’t be playing Elder Scrolls Online because his arm hurts, and yet he still is? Meanwhile, we lost Kelley somewhere in the wastelands when she wandered off to hug all the monsties.
Sam joins us this week for some Netflix and Krill. Anna Marie has to deal with a crisis on infinite Chris. Kelley asks the question, “Bidoff: photogenic or photobombing?” And Matt has to whistle Yuji Horii down from his crazy DQ teasing.
