RPG Cast – Episode 599: “Serious Health Issues? No, Just a Cat”

The podcast trio is not at all ready for the flood of September releases. Anna Marie is kind of sick of the trigger, Chris insists Eclipse is owed an apology, and Kelley wants to know what is this garbage and how she can get more of it.

Question of the Week
Which September releases are you looking to pick up, and which ones will you wait for the inevitable Black Friday sale?

On the RPG front, just Astria Ascending due to platform limitations (only have a Switch at the moment) keeping me away from the likes of Arise and the FFIV Pixel Remaster. (Thus far, as of the time of the comment.)

Also, congratulations on hitting 600 episodes!

QOTW: Most definitely gonna buy Tales of Arise on Steam, and I’m very excited about it. But that’s the only one. Due to financial limitations Astria Ascending and the Switch port of Ni No Kuni II are shoved to the wishlist/”waiting on a sale” list; as well as a few other non-RPGs.

My current list of Black Friday RPGs
    Scarlet Nexus
The World Ends with You Neo
    Akiba’s Trip

I’m very happy to hear y’all talk so much about DRPGs. I was pleasantly surprised to hear how much fun Chris is having with Nocturne. While I believe Strange Journey is a bit more fun, I enjoyed this one on the PS2 enough to pick up the Switch update.

Great show as always. Thank you all!

The original Nexomon is a Day 1 purchase.

    Other September releases? Ehhhh… pass.

I pre-ordered Tales of Arise for PC and can’t wait to give it a go! Early reviews are looking very positive, and I’m really hoping that strong sales will help us get some of the older “Tales of” games remastered/released (e.g. Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut, Tales of Destiny 2, etc.)

  6. The hype has gotten me so i’ll be getting Tales of Arise and probably Eastward on the switch if it reviews well.

Tales of arise was definitely a day one purchase for me. As for Black Friday, I will be checking the price of Death End Request 2.
