The last time anyone outside Japan could get a new copy of Langrisser was right before grunge took over the radio. Now it’s available for modern audiences alongside its sequel, and seekers of tactical action should definitely investigate.

NIS America and Chara-ani have collaborated for the re-launch of the Langrisser series. The two-game bundle is now available in North American markets, with Europe getting the game in a few days.

Langrisser’s revival looks like it will be more than just the 3DS title from a couple of years ago, with the first two games getting full remakes. However, those hoping it will result in more designs from Satoshi Urushihara are likely to be disappointed.
