Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

Zeboyd Games’s Breath of Death VII: The Beginning released over fourteen years ago. Shadow Layer Games has revived it with an updated look and tunes; Sam Wachter reports on if this reanimation holds up.

The sequel to Gust’s Fairy Tail aims to raise the bar with the culminating story arc of the series. Ezra Kinnell finds out if it acts as definitive adaptation of the source material.

Karaclan’s visual novel and turn-based RPG hybrid VED scores heavy style points with its hand-drawn art style. Ryan Costa sees if it has story and combat kudos to stand highly among other indie titles.

Exit 73 Studios released a free new chapter for action brawler #BLUD. Michael Baker sees whether Claws for Alarm is worth sending out the alert for.

Cris Tales developer Dreams Uncorporated provided a full reveal for its newest title Prisma. The turn-based RPG sees journalist Alma trapped in a world with many different versions of herself.

 

 


Major News

Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be arriving on PC next month. The second part of the Remake trilogy is available to pre-order now from Steam and the Epic Games Store.

CD Projekt RED officially revealed The Witcher IV. The game will see Ciri taking on the protagonist role as she sets out on her journey to become a monster slayer.

Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios announced that The Outer Worlds 2 will launch in the next year. The sci-fi RPG will take players to a new star system on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Capcom revealed that 2006 action adventure Ōkami is getting a true sequel. Hideki Kamiya will be returning as director for the new game.

 

 

 

CE-Asia announced that Sense Games’s AI LIMIT will launch in March. The sci-fi action RPG also received a nine-minute gameplay video.

Developer Tactical Adventurers announced a sequel to cRPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Solasta II will get a demo in early 2025 ahead of a Steam Early Access release.

Arc Games and Heart Machine revealed that Hyper Light Breaker will launch on Steam Early Access next month. The roguelite action RPG is expected to fully release in around a year.

PQube and Acquire have announced a remaster for dungeon-crawler Class of Heroes 3. A decade after a western release was first planned, the game is finally heading outside of Japan.

Set for a February 2025 release, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be available one week earlier than previously planned. Meanwhile, the action RPG’s official story trailer has been revealed.
