RPGamer Round-Up: February 5 – February 12

Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

 


Major News

Sabotage Studio’s Sea of Stars has a release date. The turn-based RPG will hit PC, Switch, and PlayStation consoles in late August.

Bandai Namco unveiled a remastered collection of both Baten Kaitos titles. Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster will launch on Switch this summer.

Following the series’ 25th anniversary, Koei Tecmo and Gust revealed a remake of its very first title. Western RPGamers may finally be able to visit Salburg when Atelier Marie’s remake launches in summer.

The first three Etrian Odyssey games are getting remastered. The Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will be available on PC and Switch at the start of June.

Level-5 returned with new announcements. Decapolice is a crime suspense RPG planned to launch this summer on Switch and PlayStation consoles, while Fantasy Life is finally getting a proper follow-up.

After being in Early Access for a little over a year, Darkest Dungeon II has a full release date. The turn-based roguelike will fully launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store in a few months.

The latest Nintendo Direct ended with a new look at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo also announced a Collector’s Edition for the game ahead of its launch in May.

Square Enix released a free demo for Octopath Traveler II. The three-hour demo is available now on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.

The second wave of Fire Emblem Engage’s Expansion Pass content is now available, with Nintendo also revealing the contents of its next two waves. Meanwhile, the third volume for Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Expansion Pass adds a new Hero, and we got a teaser of the new story coming with the fourth volume later this year.
