Destiny 2: Lightfall Media Highlights Strand
Bungie released more media for its upcoming Lightfall expansion to Destiny 2. A new trailer and a new set of screenshots highlight Strand, the new darkness-based subclasses being added with the expansion.
Bungie also revealed some of the new abilities it grants wielders. The Warlock Broodweaver’s Needlestorm fires piercing missiles that continue as threadlings after their initially detonation. The Titan Berserker’s Blade Fury weaves blades on its arms, giving it access to a light slash attack and a charged heavy attack, which fires projectiles that suspend enemies. Finally, the Hunter Threadrunner’s Silkstrike creates a rope dart that hits a single enemy with a light attack, doing extra damage by hitting them with the tip, while a heavy attack has it swing around an area, damaging any nearby enemies.
Lightfall sees the return of Cabal Emperor Calus, who is now a Disciple of The Witness. His Shadow Legion have taken over Neptune’s capital city of Neomuna, which acts as the primary setting for the expansion as players explore its skyscrapers and neon streets. It will also include new powerful Tormentor enemies, as well as a new raid, new weapons, and more. Lightfall will release on February 28, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S.
