Sony to Acquire Bungie

Sony announced that it has reached a deal to acquire Bungie. The deal for the Destiny series developer is reported to be worth around $3.6 billion.

Bungie has stated that the terms of the deal ensures that the developer retains creative control of its properties and that Destiny 2 and its future content will remain available on multiple platforms with full Cross Play. The developer also stated it has no intention of making future games platform-exclusive and that future Destiny 2 expansions will be released on all current platforms as previously planned.
