Destiny 2 Shows New Gambit Mode

Another trailer is now out for Destiny 2’s upcoming expansion Forsaken. The video highlights the expansion’s new Gambit mode, which pits two teams of Guardians against each other in a contest to hunt down various enemies. The mode combines PvE and PvP: the two teams fight in different arenas, but by collecting Motes from fallen enemies they can send blocking enemies or even one of their members into the other team’s arena to disrupt them. The ultimate goal is to collect enough Motes to summon and then defeat the boss.

Forsaken’s story sees the wanted criminals the Barons and Uldren Sov organising a jailbreak at the Prison of Elders, with the player and Cayde-6 sent to bring it back under control. The expansion is due to be released on September 4, 2018, and adds two new locations, a new raid, and the new Gambit mode, as well as various new missions, weapons, and armours.
