The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Reveals Collector’s Edition

Nintendo closed out its most recent Nintendo Direct with a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The trailer features a voice over from Ganondorf alongside the reveal of several new vehicles that Link will be able to utilize, such as a hot air balloon and a hover pad.

More information was also given about the game’s release. A Collector’s Edition for the game was detailed and will include the following:

A physical copy of the game
An artbook featuring concept art
A Steelbook case
An Iconart steel poster
A set of four pin badges

The Collector’s Edition will retail for $129.99. The standard version of the game will retail for $69.99. A new Amiibo is also in production, featuring Link as depicted in the game. The Amiibo will grant access to materials and weapons as well as a unique fabric for the paraglider.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and sees Link once again having to save Hyrule from the invading forces of darkness. The sequel will bring a new level of aerial exploration as Link takes to the skies to explore the floating islands of Hyrule. The game is set to release on Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
