Atelier Ryza 3 Details World Quests, Cooking, Building; Opening Movie Released

Koei Tecmo and Gust released more details and media for the upcoming Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. In addition to releasing the game’s opening movie, the company provided details and screenshots on the game’s World Quests, cooking, and building features.

World Quests are a type of quests players will encounter as they explore multiple regions across a strange group of islands. These quests are specific to the particular region they are found in, and provide details about the region itself and the characters residing within them. Completing the quests can produce permanent changes to the fields and other areas.

During their explorations, players will also find bonfires, where Ryza can cook food for herself and her friends. New recipes can be found by completing quests, with food offering a variety of bonuses that can help players. Ryza and her allies can also rest at these bonfires, which changes the time of day and therefore also the enemies they will find in the area.

Finally, Ryza has the option of building a new atelier in each of the game’s regions, which acts as a base. Players can choose from three types of structure — the research base, the farm, and the laboratory — which aid exploration, gathering, and synthesis respectively. Ryza’s Puni friends will accompany her in each of the ateliers, who players can feed and raise into different forms as well as sending out to collect materials.

The third entry in the Secret sub-series, Atelier Ryza 3 takes place a year after Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, with Reisalin “Ryza” Stout returning as protagonist. While Ryza and her friends enjoy a peaceful life on Kurken Island, they learn about a new group of islands that have mysteriously appeared. The game will launch on March 24, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
