As players attempt to overcome not one but two catastrophes, Final Fantasy XIV takes them to a brand new world. With Shadowbringers offering the best experience so far, The First seems an appropriate name for that world in more ways than one.

Fire Emblem Three Houses released this week and we’re (almost) all playing it – but there’s a bit of controversy afoot. Pascal talks about poor choices he’s made in other games. At this year’s E3, RPGamer’s Pascal Tekaia was able to chat with a very busy Naoki Yoshida about Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. While Pascal himself isn’t an active player of the MMORPG, the staff players sitting at home were able to arm him with plenty of questions.

Square Enix held a post-E3 Letter from the Producer livestream for Final Fantasy XIV, detailing some of the new additions and changes in Shadowbringers. Included in the presentation were details on the new Trust System, among many other things.

Final Fantasy XIV’s Tokyo Fan Fest is underway, and like previous Fan Fest there was a keynote presentation to open it. Naoki Yoshida provided yet more reveals on Shadowbringers, including the setting for the expansion, plus another new job and playable race.
Final Fantasy XIV’s Paris Fan Fest is currently underway and was opening with a keynote focusing on the upcoming Shadowbringers expansion. A release date, a new job, new locations, a new Alliance Raid series, a new playable race, and a Collector’s Edition were all revealed during it.
This weekend’s Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest kicked off with some big news as Square Enix announced its third expansion. Shadowbringers is coming in early summer next year, with some other major things also announced.
