Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

A month ahead of the game’s release, Kickstarter backers were given access to a beta for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Ryan Radcliff couldn’t wait to dive in and provides his early thoughts.


Major News

Illustrator Mutsumi Inomata has passed away. She was a character designer on many of the mothership Tales titles, as well as working on a variety of anime series since the 1980s.

Square Enix announced the release date for Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail expansion. An already busy late June/early July is now more packed.

Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XVI’s The Rising Tide expansion will launch in just under a month. It will take players to the hidden land of Mysidia.

Atlus revealed that it has brought forward the release of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance by a week. The developer also put out plenty of new details and screenshots for the title.

Odd Bug Label and United Label announced a sequel to adventure RPG Tails of Iron. Doug Cockle will return to narrate a new adventure in the Ratdom for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter.

 

 

Grinding Gear Games held its latest Path of Exile presentation. In addition to showcasing the upcoming Path of Exile 2’s Ranger class, the developer revealed the latest Path of Exile expansion, Necropolis.

Five years after it was delisted, espionage RPG Alpha Protocol is available once more on PC. The game is available through GOG.com with modern operating system compatibility, a re-licensed soundtrack, and more.

Publisher Bandai Namco announced a demo version for the upcoming action RPG Sand Land. This demo is currently available for all platforms.

Developer Drop Bear Bytes announced the release date for the upcoming isometric RPG Broken Roads. The title will launch next month on several platforms.

Players worldwide will finally be able to sample a new Inazuma Eleven title next week. Level-5 announced that a beta test demo for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is coming to Switch.
