Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Release Date Announced

Square Enix announced the release date for MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV’s fifth expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. The expansion will release for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 2, 2024. However, there will be early access available to pre-orders from June 28, 2024. Pre-orders for the expansion will begin on March 26, 2024, with the following editions available:

Digital Standard Edition ($39.99)

• Includes access to Dawntrail expansion, as well as the Shadowbringers and Endwalker expansion if not previously purchased

Digital Collector’s Edition ($59.99)

• Includes the Digital Standard Edition, plus in-game bonus items: Ark Mount, Wind-Up Garnet Minion, Chocobo Brush Pictomancer weapon

Physical Collector’s Box ($155.00)

• Does not include access to the expansion

• A Warrior of Light Viper figure (24.5cm x 11.5cm x 15cm)
• Cloth world map, updated with new Dawntrail locations (42cm x 75cm)
• Unending Journey ruled notebook (15cm x 11cm)

Physical Collector’s Edition ($214.99) (PC and Mac only)

• A bundle containing the Digital Collector’s Edition and the Physical Collector’s Box
• Console players are advised to purchase the Digital Collector’s Edition on their selected console storefront and the Collector’s Box separately

Both the Collector’s Box and Collector’s Edition will be available on Square Enix’s online store. All digital and physical pre-orders will also receive the in-game Wind-up Zidane Minion and Azeyma’s Earrings accessory.

Taking place after the events of Endwalker, and marking the start of a major new story arc for the game, Dawntrail is set in the “new world” of Tural, a continent on the other side of the ocean known as the Indigo Deep. It sees Warrior of Light’s help requested for Tural’s contested rite of succession. The expansion will add two new Jobs: melee DPS role Viper and ranged DPS role Pictomancer. The expansion will also include a new level cap of 100, new dungeons, new locations, new side content, and more.
