• RPGamer’s Best of 2024 Awards

The last year presented us with another hefty selection of RPGs to enjoy, covering a wide variety of experiences. With another year in the books, RPGamer spent our customary time digesting the year and present our Best of 2024 Awards.

• New Arc Line Early Access Impression

New Arc Line arrived on Steam Early Access a couple of months ago. RPGamer’s Jahwon Corbett was able to check out the half-dozen or so hours of content initially available in the fantasy steampunk cRPG.

• Rise of the Ronin Heading to PC in March

Koei Tecmo announced that Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin is coming to PC. The action RPG set in Bakumatsu-era Japan will arrive on Steam in March.

• The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Gets Comparison Trailer

GungHo Online Entertainment provided a new gameplay comparison trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Nihon Falcom’s remake of the first Trails game is set to arrive this fall.

• Sugoro Quest: Dice Heroes Getting Western Release Next Week

Many years after its original Famicom release, Sugoro Quest: Dice Heroes is finally getting a western release. The board game-style turn-based RPG will arrive on consoles next week.

• Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked Announced

Resolution Games announced it is partnering with Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro for Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked. The title will blend Demeo’s social strategy with D&D’s classes, actions, and lore.

• Momodora: Moonlit Farewell Arriving on Consoles Next Week

Playism and Bombservice’s Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is coming to consoles next week. The side-scrolling action RPG originally released for PC last year.

• Phoenix Labs Announces Layoffs for Majority of Studio

Dauntless and Fae Farm developer Phoenix Labs announced that it has laid off the majority of its staff. Details about the future of both games is yet to be announced.

• Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator Global Version Shutting Down in March

Just over a year after its launch, Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games are closing the global version of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. The free-to-play mobile title will cease service in late March.
