Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator Global Version Shutting Down in March
Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games announced that free-to-play mobile title Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator‘s gobal version will be shut down at 11am JST (3am UTC) on March 28, 2025. All in-game purchase has been suspended, though players can use any currently held Lodestar Gems. Various in-game events are planned to be held up until the game’s closure.
Co-developed by Gust, Team Ninja, and Akatsuki Games, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator first launched in Japan on September 2023 for iOS and Android with its global and PC versions released in January 2024. The game is set in the kingdom of Lantana, which prospered through alchemy, but its use has died out and been forgotten. The game features two main protagonists — fledgling alchemist Resna and amnesiac fighter Valeria — with appearances from numerous other characters across the series, including many main heroines.
A separate premium title, Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian, is planned to release in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The new title will be completely offline and feature an original story with its own protagonist.
