The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Gets Comparison Trailer
GungHo Online Entertainment released a new trailer for Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake. The two-minute video offers a gameplay comparison between the original The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and the fully 3D remake, showing both combat and exploration. The remake is schedule to release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch this fall.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is the first game in the long-running Trails series set on the continent of Zemuria. The game follows Estelle Bright and adopted sibling Joshua Bright as they set out across the kingdom of Liberl in search of her father while training to become senior Bracers. The game was originally released for PC in Japan with a PlayStation Portable version following in 2006. The PlayStation Portable version was released in the west in 2011 by XSEED Games and Ghostlight, with its PC version following in 2014. PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions were also released in Japan.
The game is the first in the Trails in the Sky trilogy, with direct sequel The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter picking up immediately after the game’s events. Meanwhile, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd takes place after the events of the previous two games, with recurring character Kevin Graham taking the main protagonist role. The game spawned multiple following arcs taking place in other nations around Zemuria, with those wishing to read more about the series able to check out RPGamer’s Where to Start? guide.
