Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development. Pricing is shown in US dollars before application of any discounts, local pricing may vary.


Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector

Narrative sci-fi RPG Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a follow-up to 2022’s Citizen Sleeper and combines visual novel storytelling with die-based tabletop gameplay mechanics. The game takes players to a brand-new location, where they control a new Sleeper, a company-owned android who has managed to flee to the Starward Belt, a remote asteroid cluster at the edge of the Helion system. Trying to build a new life for themselves, they will need to guide their ship and recruited crew through a system-wide crisis. The game features a larger area to explore than the first game, as well as new gameplay systems and mechanics.

Co-op action RPG Coridden is set on planet Heera, where four siblings receive artifacts that give them the ability to transform into any monster they defeat. They subsequently set off on a journey to uncover the secrets of the ancient city of Aasha. Players can switch between human and monster form at will, with each form having unique abilities and characteristics. Both forms can be built up with gear, attributes, and skills, with four human classes and seven beast masteries available.


Defender’s Quest II: Mists of Ruin

Defender’s Quest II: Mists of Ruin is a sequel to tower defence RPG Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten. The game sees the Shining Lands of its predecessor having become plagued by a toxic gas called the Mirk that threatens any who venture out of city walls. The game’s story is written by Xalavier Nelson Jr. and follows Evni Hunt and her allies, dubbed the Hunters, as they embark on a mission to save the land. The narrative will follow multiple perspectives, and its gameplay features a mix of tactical tower defence and party customisation as players build a party of heroes with their own abilities, skill trees, and equipment. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch versions are planned to follow at a later date.


Eternal Strands

Eternal Strands is an action adventure title. The game is the debut title of Yellow Brick Games, a studio set up by former Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw. Players control Brynn, a young but fearless Weaver determined to recover her people’s cultural home, fighting against enemies ranging from humanoid constructs to towering beasts.


Kamibako: Mythology of Cube

Kamibako: Mythology of Cube is billed as combining crafting, puzzles, and turn-based combat. It takes players to the continent of Noahtun, where they are tasked with repairing fragmented land and ridding the world of darkness. As players move across the overworld, the land materialises in front of them. When players come across fragmented land, they solve puzzles to restore it, with unafflicted land able to be developed into farmland, buildings, and other facilities.


Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero

A sequel to Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle, tactical RPG Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is set in the oceanic world of Ivoire. As Marona and Ash return home from a regular job, they are attacked by the ghost ships of the Shipwreck Fleet, during which Marona’s powers are stolen by a masked man and she and Ash are separated. After washing ashore, Marona encounters a Phantom girl named Apricot who agrees to help her fight the new threat that looms over the seas of Ivoire. In their quest to assemble a crew capable of defeating the Shipwreck Fleet, they will have to become pirates themselves and fight to expand their territory. A PC version is planned to release in in spring 2025.


Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter

Side-scrolling action RPG Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter puts players in the role of Arlo, son of the Warden of the North in the realms of the Ratdom. Arlo embarks on a quest for revenge following a brutal attack by the Dark Wings. Voice actor Doug Cockle returns as the narrator from the previous game for Arlo’s quest. The Stone of Madness

The Stone of Madness is a real-time tactical stealth game set in an 18th-century Spanish Monastery. Players control a group of five prisoners who pool their skills and resources to face their phobias, stave off insanity, uncover the mysteries of the Monastery, and find a way to escape.


Wizardry: The Five Ordeals

Dungeon-crawler Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a rerelease of 2006 Japan-exclusive Wizardry Gaiden: Five Ordeals, originally released under the moniker Itsutsu no Shiren. The game launches with six base campaigns, with two additional DLC scenarios available: Prisoners of the Battles and The Absence of Misericordia.
