New Release Round-Up (October 31, 2024)

Welcome to RPGmer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age: The Veilguard sees create a new protagonist named Rook who is tasked with stopping two elven gods after they are released during a ritual. They are joined by seven companions: Harding the Scout, Neve the Detective, Lucanis the Mage Killer, Bellara the Veil Jumper, Emmrich the Necromancer, Davrin the Warden, and Taash the Dragon Hunter.

Farmagia

Monster-farming action RPG Farmagia is set in Felicidad, a fantasy world where farmers known as Farmagia command and train monsters that have been grown in farms. The story follows the young Farmagia Ten and his friends in their quest to restore peace in Felicidad. Players are in charge of their own farm, where they grow and train the monsters that assist them in real-time combats. During battles, players lead monster hordes instead single units. The game features character and monster designs from illustrator Hiro Mashima, known for his work on Fairy Tail and Edens Zero.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn is set in a post-apocalyptic setting where a future Earth is dominated by animal-like machines and humanity survives in tribal communities, with players controlling the hunter Aloy. In addition to a variety of graphical improvements, the remaster features over 10 hours of re-recorded conversation and motion capture. Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution

Action RPG Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution stars an older version of series protagonist Neptune. It is set in a world with competing game studios and sees Neptune joining up with a trio of developer goddesses whose endeavour went under after losing market share in order to revive their fortunes. The game feature four-character parties in its action combat system, and players are able to explore areas on a motorbike, with some areas featuring racing sections.

Triangle Strategy VR

Triangle Strategy follows protagonist Serenoa Wolffort and his companions as they become embroiled in a conflict between three rival empires over the continent of Norzelia’s resources following the Saltiron War. The VR version allows players to view the battlefield with 360-degree 3D movement while also supporting the Passthrough feature on Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.
