New Release Round-Up (August 24, 2023)
Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.
Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure
Secrets of the Obscure is the fourth expansion for MMORPG Guild Wars 2. It sees players dealing with a new threat emerging from the Mists. They uncover more about the Wizard’s Tower and explore the skies above Tyria, while defending it from the strange army of the Kryptis. Alongside new allies in the Astral Ward, they will seek to seal tears in reality. It also include new combat and character build system upgrades, as well as let players unlock weapons previous exclusive to elite specialisations.

Tactical RPG Lost Eidolons is set on the continent of Artemesia. Players control Eden, a mercenary from the village of Lonetta, who becomes involved in the rising flames of rebellion. The game features grid-based combat that makes use of terrain and unit positioning, with players able to recruit new characters by raising affinity with NPCs and improve existing party members through training and sidequests. Virgo Versus the Zodiac

Virgo Versus the Zodiac is inspired by the Mario & Luigi RPG and Mother series and features turn-based combat with timing mechanics. Players control Virgo the Holy Queen, called the Dreadful Queen by others, as she embarks on a twisted cosmic quest to bring back what she believes to be the Golden Age. WrestleQuest is a turn-based wrestling RPG set in a toybox world and follows two aspiring wrestlers as they attempt to hit the big time. The game features licenced wrestlers from the ’80s through to today including “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Booker T, Andre The Giant, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Diamond Dallas Page, Jeff Jarrett, and more.
