Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we take a look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

 


Editorial Content

The newest Monster Hunter attempts to impress the world with a fresh setting and new mechanics. Phil Willis spent many hours with the game to find out if it rises to the occasion.

Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth finds high elf Deedlit in a new story set in the Lodoss universe. Paul Shkreli finds tight gameplay and presentation prevail over a thin story.

Anna Marie is back with her fourth Backloggin’ report. Was progress made on her backlog? Well…No.


Major News

Capcom held a new Monster Hunter-focused digital event. The presentation introduced more details and media for Monster Hunter Stories 2, and offered a look at what’s included in Monster Hunter Rise’s first major update.

Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition has a release date. The May launch will see the game making its console debut, while current owners on PC, Mac, and Linux will get the new version as a free upgrade.

THQ Nordic and Logic Artists have unveiled the third game in the Expeditions series. Expeditions: Rome sees players controlling a Roman Legatus in military campaigns across the republic.

Social deduction RPG Jin Conception will be releasing in a couple of weeks. The game will be available for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Star Renegades is getting physical editions. Strictly Limited Games is working with Raw Fury and ININ Games to help materialize the sci-fi RPG into RPGamers’ physical libraries.

RPGamer’s ad hoc Kickstarter Check-In feature returns for a look at an ongoing crowdfunding campaign. This edition features Ocean Drive Studio’s turn-based strategy RPG Lost Eidolons.
