Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town First DLC Wave Out Now

XSEED Games and Marvelous have released the first paid DLC for farming sim Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. The first wave adds new ‘Animal Attire’ costumes for the protagonists and marriage candidates, as well as the ‘Olive Town Mystery Files’ sub-scenarios, where players join Mikey and Cindy to investigate strange incidents around Olive Town.

The DLC is available as part of the game’s expansion pass, which is priced at $19.99 separately or in a $69.99 bundle with the game. The second wave will release on May 27, 2021, and will include ‘School Uniform’ costumes and the ‘Windswept Falls Expansion Pack’, where players explore a new area that is home to four characters from Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning (the final entry before the series adopted the Story of Seasons moniker in the west). Two further waves are expected later this year.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is the latest title in the Bokujo Monogatari/Story of Seasons farming/life simulation franchise and is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The game sends players to Olive Town, a frontier seaside town where they attempt to restore their grandfather’s farm.
