Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Gets More Characters, Images
Marvelous has released more media for the upcoming Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. A hefty new batch of screenshots shows various facets of the game, including land clearing, planting and maintaining crops, photography, managing livestock, fishing, and cooking, as well as spirits called Coropon that offer crops or materials as rewards for befriending them. In addition, players will be able to upload their avatar data, who will potentially appear as a tourist in friends’ towns, though players aren’t able to visit other towns themselves.
In addition, Marvelous introduced more characters appearing in the game. Victor is the mayor of Olive Town, while Gloria is Victor’s wife and the museum curator. Patricia owns the animal shop, Nigel is the town’s carpenter, Jason manages the hotel, and Sally runs the café. The company also introduced four more potential love interests. Ralph is a ranger and a calm leader who used to play sports. Jack’s family runs the local general store, and he wonders what he can do to help the town despite often seeming to lack motivation. Lara is the town’s tour guide and looks after her father. Finally, Blair works at the town’s café and dreams of becoming a star.
As its title suggests, the game sends players to Olive Town, a frontier seaside town where they will attempt to restore their grandfather’s farm. The game will be released for Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 25, 2021, with its North American and European releases following on March 23, 2021, and March 26, 2021, respectively.
