Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Adds New Card Game Mode

Bandai Namco has announced a free update, which launches today, for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The update adds a new collectible card game mode called Card Warriors where players participate in online card battles against other players. The card game sees players constructing a main deck of 25 cards and a special 5-card SP deck. Players put down character cards, each with their own attack power, and use them to attack the opponent and try and get their HP down to zero, while various event cards can have wide-ranging effects on the battlefield. SP cards are especially powerful cards that require a combination of previously-played cards to activate.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an action RPG and provides a retelling of the Dragon Ball Z anime and manga series from the viewpoint of Kakarot — better known as Goku. Other characters are also playable, including Gohan, Piccolo, and Vegeta. The game released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 17, 2020.
