Paranoia: Happiness Is Mandatory Receives PC Release Date

Publisher Bigben Interactive has released a video along with the official PC release date for Paranoia: Happiness Is Mandatory. The four-minute developer diary covers several topics, including the game’s combat, dialog system, and the challenges of adapting a tabletop RPG into digital form.

Paranoia casts players in the role of a Troubleshooter, a member of a team of human clones employed by Friend Computer, the paranoid and irrational artificial intelligence in charge of the people living in a survival bunker. Doing Friend Computer’s bidding entails committing some questionable acts in service of the supposed greater good, but it is up to players to choose whether to obey the crazed AI or not. Paranoia is set to be released for PC on October 3, 2019, with console versions in the works for later this year. Interested readers can check out RPGamer’s impression of the game from this year’s E3 in Los Angeles.
