Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s newest column, where we take a quick look back at some of the articles we’ve posted throughout the week. This article is designed to help give reminders for some interesting editorial content and stories that our less regular visitors might have missed.

 


Editorial Content

The Atelier series celebrates its twentieth anniversary with a spin-off title that brings together all of the series protagonists. Sam Wachter finds Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists’ town-building engaging but unfortunately some significant weaknesses elsewhere.

Mike Moenhke takes a look at back at tri-Ace’s team up with Spike Chunsoft. Though Exist Archive offers some novel ideas, it’s held back by some substantial issues including technical problems on the PlayStation Vita version.

RPGamer’s Whatcha Playing feature returns for its April edition. Multiple members of the RPGamer staff go over what they’ve been playing during the month and provide some quick impressions.


Major News

Gearbox debuted the first gameplay footage from Borderlands 3 during an hour-long presentation. The first-person shooter RPG releases this September.

After taking some extra time, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night finally has a firm release date. A new trailer shows the graphical enhancements that have been made in the lead up to its release in mid-June.

XSEED Games has announced the release date for the PlayStation 4 version of Trails of Cold Steel II. RPGamers will have another way to catch up on the series before NIS America brings Trails of Cold Steel III over later this year.

Dungeon-crawling specialist Experience Inc. newest title will be releasing in Japan soon. Blue-Winged Chevalier hopes to give the PlayStation Vita another hurrah when it launches in July.

Sega has released a new video for Judgment ahead of the game’s release in the west this June. Voice actor Greg Chun talks about his role as protagonist Takayuki Yagami.

Azur Lane: Crosswave is coming west next year courtesy of Idea Factory International. The naval shooter RPG puts players in control of personified versions of famous battleships.
