It’s time for part two of our tribute to Supergiant Games! This time around, both games focus on the afterlife. Join us along with Wheels and Sam as we tackle Pyre and Hades on this week’s show!
It’s the RPGCast trio bringing you another week of mild insanity. Kelley struggles because Japanese names are hard. Chris wants to take all the cats camping, but Anna Marie swiftly vetoes the idea. The dad jokes arrive in full force, and everyone’s thinking about vacations.
Kelley is busy writing her Sonic the Fighters headcanon. Josh starts listening to Limp Bizkit. Anna Marie spells THICC with two C’s and one I. Chris, meanwhile, is living the chonkiest life.
Anna Marie flashes the milkman. Kelley Ryan protests three button controllers. Pascal gives out his a/s/l to anyone who asks. And Chris watches some really interesting paint dry.
Josh and Scotty get into a father-son slap fight. Kelley ascends to divinity playing Picross. Johnathan sees how much his ZHP is worth and has to go make a transaction in a back alley. And Chris tries to justify life without a back button.
Chris says the quiet things out loud, and challenges Anna Marie to play a gacha game without spending money. Kelley gets distracted by a three-headed monkey, while Josh ponders why the ten rings sounds like Jarvis.
The podcast trio is not at all ready for the flood of September releases. Anna Marie is kind of sick of the trigger, Chris insists Eclipse is owed an apology, and Kelley wants to know what is this garbage and how she can get more of it.

In a tough year for many, video games helped provide plenty of much-needed solace, enjoyment, and heart. After taking our usual few weeks to fully digest the past year’s releases, RPGamer is proud to present our Best of 2020 awards.
Anna Marie spends the whole show looking for her holes. Jonathan Stringer is off singing Sakuna Matata. Josh Carpenter has all the sinks. Kelley Ryan cleans her entire house with a broom. And Chris has issues with Wil Wheaton.
This week in Q&A Quest we talk about topics ranging from Hades to Pokémon. We also have a long discussion about why Assassin’s Creed III is bad for some reason.
This week we discuss the many issues of Metal Max Xeno: Reborn. We also discuss the roguelike goodness that is Hades.
Pascal surprises everyone. New challenger Robert appears. Josh makes a triumphant return. Anna Marie leaves to go do important kitten things. Kelley proves she’s the best at the Mario’s. And Chris still says it’s not really an Ys game.
This week we finally figure out if Dark Souls ripped off Breath of the Wild. We also get really worked up over Bethesda. When is Game Pass coming to PS5, again?
Today’s Nintendo Direct Mini wasn’t really all that mini. The presentation included two brand-new Monster Hunter games, a new Disgaea title, a stealth-launch for Hades, a release date for Empire of Sin, and the first media for Rune Factory 5.
Nintendo held another Indie World Showcase today, revealing a number of titles coming to Nintendo Switch. RPGs appearing in the presentation include Hades, Spiritfarer, Garden Story, Takeshi & Hiroshi, Torchlight III, and She Dreams Elsewhere.
