New Hades Update Pays the Blood Price

Supergiant Games has released the newest update for its rogue-like action RPG Hades. Titled “The Blood Price Update”, this new content unmasks Charon and expands his inventory and Wells. Additional content includes three new legendary aspects for weapons, new Boons — including paired Boons — from each Olympian, additional enemies and bosses, and over thirty-five thousand voiced lines of new story. Art and audio have also been updated, as well as the game’s code base to allow for smoother gameplay. Full patch notes can be found on the company’s website.

In Hades, players take on the role of Hades’ son, the Prince of the Underworld. Using the powers at his disposal and with the help of the other Olympian gods, players will have to fight their way out of the underworld one run at a time, unlocking new items, Boons, and events each time. The game is currently in Early Access with plans to fully release on PC later this year.
