The First Descendant Adjusts Beta Plans

Nexon announced that it has changed its plans for public beta versions of free-to-play co-op RPG shooter The First Descendant. Previously planned to receive a closed beta later this month, the game will instead get an open beta running from September 19-25, 2023. Those interested in participating can sign-up to receive a reminder when it becomes available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The open beta will include cross-play between all platforms as well as a prologue detailing events prior to its story.

The First Descendant takes place on a world that mixes sci-fi and fantasy, and features co-op for up to four players. Players control a Descendant, one tasked with defending the Ingris continent and fighting against alien invaders to help ensure the survival of humanity.
