Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, Mana Titles Released on Xbox Series X|S
Square Enix has released the full set of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster titles, Legend of Mana Remastered, and Trials of Mana on Xbox Series X|S. The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection is available as a bundle for $74.99 or individually (Final Fantasy I–II for $11.99 each, Final Fantasy III–VI for $17.99 each), while Legend of Mana Remastered is available for $29.99 and Trials of Mana is available for $49.99. Both Mana titles are also included on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. All of the games are currently also available on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
The Xbox Series X|S releases of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI include the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions’ ability to choose between rearranged and original soundtracks, as well as between a new pixel-based font and the font used in the PC, iOS, and Android releases. There are also gameplay boost features, such as switching off random encounters and applying experience multipliers from 0x to 4x.
Legend of Mana Remastered is an enhanced version of the fourth game in the Mana series, which was released for PlayStation. The game sees players setting off into the world of Fa’Diel to find the Mana Tree, only to discover the world is empty. Players find special artifacts that can be placed down, adding new towns and dungeons, with the story changing based on player decisions. Trials of Mana is a full remake of Super Famicon title Seiken Densetsu 3 and is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Players select their primary protagonist and two companions from a roster of six characters before journeying through the Holy Kingdom of Wendel and engaging in action combat. The remake includes an additional post-game chapter that provides access to an extra set of character classes.
