Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

A third entry in the Voice of Cards series has arrived in short order. John Woodhouse reports that The Beasts of Burden adds a few new mechanics, but deals a familiar hand

Airoheart is a latest title to take advantage of the top-down action adventure revival. However, Alex Fuller finds a lack of polish and anything new limit its likely audience.


Major News

The world of Azuma is threatened by the appearance of enhanced beasts known Kemono and it’s up to the players to stop them. New hunting game Wild Hearts will be arriving in early 2023.

Publisher Eastasiasoft is partnering with Softstar Entertainment for some more international console releases. Its newest showcase features reveals for three RPG console releases: Sea Horizon, Sword and Fairy Inn 2, and a Switch version of Xuan Yuan Sword 7.

During its Aniplex Online Fest, Aniplex provided details and videos for the upcoming NieR: Automata animated adaptation. In addition, Square Enix released more trailers for the game’s upcoming Switch version.

Square Enix provided more details on farming sim and action RPG Harvestella. The latest reveal shows off its summery locale, in addition to providing more gameplay details.

Horror RPG The Witch’s House MV is coming to consoles in a couple of weeks. The game, previously released on PC, is a remake of 2012 title The Witch’s House.

After nearly three years, Google is shutting down its Stadia game streaming service. The service will close in January, with hardware and software purchases to be refunded.
