RPGamer Round-Up: August 11 – August 18

Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we take a quick look back at some of the articles we’ve posted throughout the week. This article is designed to help give reminders of some interesting editorial content and stories that our less regular visitors might have missed.

 


Editorial Content and Features

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance series finally returns for a third entry, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Ryan Radcliff joins forces with numerous heroes and reports back on his attempts to stop Thanos.

After a bit of delay between its first and second seasons, Attack on Titan is right back as one of the most popular animes out there. Pascal Tekaia checks out Koei Tecmo’s most recent release based on the series, which lets players participate in events through the first three seasons of the anime.


Major News

Bandai Namco has announced a western release date for crossover slice-of-life farming sim Doraemon Story of Seasons. Players will be able to farm with Nobita and company on Switch and PC this October.

The Pokémon Company used the 2019 Pokémon World Championships to provide more details about Pokémon Sword and Shield. The details include some online battle options, and new items and abilities to make tactical use of.

With Oninaki due out worldwide next week, Square Enix showed plenty of gameplay footage of Tokyo RPG Factory’s newest title. The seven videos show off various Daemon partners for protagonist Kagachi.

After her friend Misako got all the attention last week, River City Girls’ Kyoko gets her time in the spotlight. Meanwhile, Limited Run Games announced when pre-orders for the game’s physical release will begin.

Just in case fans still had lots of money left over after purchasing its Darksiders Genesis special editions, THQ Nordic has announced pair of pricey editions for its upcoming action RPG, Biomutant. Even the cheaper of the editions comes in at over a hundred bucks.

RPGamer’s ad hoc Kickstarter Check-In feature returns for a look at another ongoing crowdfunding campaign. This edition features Rapturous Studio’s SNES-inspired fantasy RPG Beloved Rapture.
