Super Neptunia RPG Re-Introduces Its Goddesses, Introduces Bombyx Mori

Idea Factory International has released more media and details for the upcoming Super Neptunia RPG. The first part of this update features a new six-minute trailer for the game. The latest video, viewable below, offers an introduction to the four protagonists of the game and series in general — Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert — including footage from previous entries in the series.

The rest of the update focuses on Bombyx Mori, the primary antagonists of Super Neptunia RPG. The game takes place in an alternate universe where 2D games still reign supreme. Bombyx Mori rules this version of the world of Gamindustri, and collects 2D games as taxes and bans new technologies or games that don’t meet its standards.

Bombyx Mori is led by Filyn, who is obsessed with Chrome, a new character who joins up with the four protagonists, and chases her whenever she sees her. Beneath her are Bombyx Mori’s Three Musketeers: Paix St. Gliss has special devotion to 8-bit music; Artura Arrima oversses Bombyx Mori’s Trial Grounds, where those it deems criminals are sent; and Ester Zira loves experiments and fiddling with machines, appearing with her mechanical friend Chocoman. The final revealed member is Poofy, a young, fluffy dragon. New screenshots featuring Bombyx Mori can be seen below.

Super Neptunia RPG is set to be released for PC via Steam worldwide on June 20, 2019, with PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch releases following on June 25, 2019, in North America and June 28, 2019, in Europe. A limited edition is available to pre-order from Idea Factory International’s online store.
