Dragon Quest XI S, Dragon Quest Builders 2 Western Releases Confirmed
Square Enix has announced that both Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age — Definitive Edition and Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be released in North America and Europe. Dragon Quest XI S, the Nintendo Switch version of the game whose PlayStation 4 release won RPGamer’s Game of the Year 2018, will be released sometime in the fall of 2019. This enhanced version of the game will add new character-specific stories, an increased battle speed option, fully orchestrated field and battle music, and the ability to switch between HD and 16-bit visuals.
Meanwhile, Dragon Quest Builders 2, a sequel to the 2016 crafting-focused title, will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on July 12, 2019. The sequel features an all-new original story, online multiplayer for up to four players, and multiple other new features such as bigger structures, water manipulation, and more.
