Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

After nearly four years, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has arrived. Paul Shkreli marks it as the game that delivers on the promise of the Final Fantasy VII remake project.

The Shiren the Wanderer series returns with its first brand new entry in over a decade. Michael Apps finds out whether players are going to wander into fun or randomly-generated pain.

The original Oceanhorn aimed to send players back to a time when a boy in a green tunic sailed the high seas in search of adventure. Pascal Tekaia looks back to see if the game has what it takes to be the missing link to a bygone era.

Major News

Atlus unveiled Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, an enhanced version of Switch title Shin Megami Tensei V. In addition to adding a new story and other content, the release will also bring the game to other platforms.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced a June release date for Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The expansion is available to pre-order in multiple editions.

Capcom announced a remaster for the first Monster Hunter Stories game. Riders will be able to partner up with monsters on PC, PS4, and Switch this summer.

 

 

Binary Haze Interactive, Adglobe, and Live Wire revealed a sequel to Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. New title Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist will release on Switch later this year.

Level-5’s awaited follow-up to Fantasy Life has a release date. Players will be able to take on different Lives on Nintendo Switch this October.

Atlus and Vanillaware have released a demo for Unicorn Overlord. RPGamers can check out the strategy RPG and transfer their progress to the full game.

Japanese developer and publisher FuRyu announced action RPG Reynatis. The action RPG is set in a Shibuya that combines reality with magic, and features two main characters with different desires for the world.

Furniture & Mattress unveiled its debut title Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure. The game combines puzzle and exploration elements as Jemma’s movements also move the world around her.

Square Enix has updated the demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Players can now check out the Dawn of a New Era in Junon section, showcasing the game’s expansive locations.
