One Fenix Down Announced

Solo developer Regalcraft Games has revealed its first game, One Fenix Down, will be released for PC via Steam in 2025. The game, which started as a passion project nearly a decade ago, is a story-driven turn-based RPG inspired heavily by SNES-era classics. It will feature three difficulty levels, skills including elemental magics, martial arts, learning the abilities of monsters, and fourteen playable party members who frequently come and go, forcing players to adopt new strategies.

The story of One Fenix Down starts seven years prior to the game’s events, where the Kingdom of Toloria finds itself under attack by the bestial Goa Empire. The kingdom survives the onslaught at the cost of many heroes and currently exists maintaining a fragile peace. Many of the country’s youngsters are made to slave away in the mines trying to find a rare resource on behalf of the religious order. One of those young miners, the son of the legendary hero of Toloria, is forced into action after the sudden re-emergence of monsters and sets out on a journey of redemption from his shameful past along with his companions.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
